British charcoal artist and printmaker

My work explores my surroundings and experience and I'm always aiming to evoke the feelings and mood of the place I'm in. I gather sketches, photographs and sounds and use these to develop work both outdoors and in my studio. I work experimentally, staying open to unexpected results, and follow these happy accidents wherever they lead. This helps me find perspectives that weren't immediately obvious.

I work in charcoal and pastel. I also combine printmaking processes to make layered images. I have an interesting time trying to keep the charcoal and the clean printing processes separate in my studio!
